Discovery Week day 4

Day 4 14.11.13  Geometry:2D and 3D Shapes

Today we had 12 different stations with activities using shapes.

We are learning how to name and describe 2D and 3D shapes.

1D means 1 dimension.  That is a line.  It can be straight or curved.  They have length.

                                               

2D means 2 dimensions.  2D shapes have edges and corners.  They can be straight or curved lines.  They have length and width.

                                                                                                  

3D means 3 dimensions. 3D shapes have edges, corners and faces.  They have length, width and depth.
